Rachael Ray

I went to see the Rachael Ray show in New York yesterday and it was awesome. I had heard that she was a bitch and just totally ignored the audience, so I had low expectations going in there. Let me tell you, she was awesome!! So freaking nice and personable. She talked with the audience during ever break. Plus, she is freaking gorgeous! She has got to be the prettiest person I've even seen in real life. She had these kick-ass black fringe knee-high boots, and if her body guards hadn't been so big I definitely would have knocked her down and yanked those freaking things off of her little tiny legs.

The Greatest Pleasures of My Life

My kids...

I hate how much I love you...

....the kittens, not the Julia. I am SEVERELY allergic to cats and dogs. However, we do have one cat, Sarah, who is like a 4th child to me. Our neighborhood had a mouse problem a few years ago, so after days of nagging, Keith talked me into getting a cat. Bye bye mice, hello allergies!! I love her very much, but I have to load up on Claritin and Benadryl every time I want to pet her.
Another problem with Sarah is that when she gets mad at us she likes to pee on our furniture. I've gone trough 4 comforters and a whole couch in the past five years. How would she react if we brought another cat into HER house? I will not have a house that smells like cats. Ever!
Last week my Mom's cat had kittens. I've never seen cats this small and I am head over heals in love with this orange one. He looks like a freaking cartoon!!
I need to remember all of the good reasons why we can't have another cat, bug it's so hard!

My first Blog!

Where to start? I'm not really sure, so I'm just going to go for it. I'm a mom in Philly who is looking for something to do, in between filling out job applications and reading rejection e mails. I graduated from nursing school a few months ago and, apparently, no one in the tri state area is hiring new to practice nurses. So, I spend my days applying for jobs, surfing the Internet, arguing with my cat (she can be a real bitch sometimes), and aimlessly roaming my house until my kids come home from school.

So, we'll see how this goes. I'll probably spend most of my time here ranting and raving about people who are too lazy to put on pants and insist on wearing pajama bottoms to the grocery store. I seriously don't believe that people think that's ok. Isn't that, like, illegal or something? I'm pretty sure when I can see your zebra print panties under your thin white pj's it's considered indecent exposure. Right?
